Offering 3, 4 or 7 night stays all year round, each of the specially designed, 4-star Scandinavian style chalets and luxury chalets are spacious and fully accessible. Chalets are situated either on a hillside or beside the burn. The Burnside chalets are in closer proximity to the main centre. Most chalets have ceiling tracking hoists in one bedroom and some continue into the en suite bathrooms, meaning that everyone can enjoy a holiday at Calvert Trust Kielder. Our luxury chalets are also equipped with outdoor hottub and BBQ facilities. Choosing a stay in one of the chalets gives you the opportunity and flexibility to tailor your holiday to be as relaxed, inquisitive or as active as you would like. Dogs are welcome in a selection of the chalets.
All guests have complimentary use of our indoor hydrotherapy pool and sensory room. There is also the opportunity to join in on our outdoor activity sessions. A take-away meal service is available, or alternatively you can book to have all/some of your meals in the centre dining room.
Awarded Dark Skies status, the park, according to the Campaign for the Protection of Rural England (CPRE), the star-studded skies above Kielder Water & Forest Park are the darkest in England. At nearly 580sq miles, our dark sky zone, known as Northumberland International Dark Sky Park, is the largest area of protected night sky in Europe. It is the first of its kind in England and one of the largest in the world, joining the likes of Death Valley and Big Bend Dark Sky Parks in the USA. It is estimated that 85% of the UK population has never seen a truly dark sky or experienced the sense of wonder that a clear night filled with billions of stars can give!
Kielder Water & Forest Park is also an ideal base for exploring the rest of Northumberland, Cumbria, Hadrian's Wall Country and the Scottish Borders.
