If the child attending a school, school-based ABA programmes can be integrated into home-based Early Intervention Programme.
School-based programmes include a continuity of services:
Observations and assessments that are also conducted by the consultant in the child’s school.
The consultant designs a list of prerequisite skills that the child will need to possess to be successful at school.
The ABA programmes including these skills will be integrated into the child’s school curriculum.
The consultant together with the classroom teacher and SENco will devise an Individual Education Plan (IEP) for the child.
ABA school programmes are implemented by ABA therapists and school staff under the supervision of the consultant.
The consultant continually assesses the development of the child and introduces new programmes with regard to the child’s progress.
